An East Kilbride man has appeared in court in connection with alleged firearm offences after a disturbance in the town last week.
George Harper faced five charges in total, including two relating to the Firearms Act covering 'an imitation firearm' and possessing ammunition.
He also faced a charge of culpable and reckless conduct when he appeared in private at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
The 57-year-old was also charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and for having an offensive weapon in a public.
He made no plea or declaration in relation to all charges.
He was committed for further examination and released on bail with his next appearance still to be confirmed.
We told you last week how shocked residents alleged they heard gun shots in a garden in The Murray area of the town on May 20.
Police Scotland confirmed Harper was arrested after armed police swooped the scene on Elphinstone Crescent.
