A 39-year-old man has appeared in private in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a woman in East Kilbride Village.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place on Monday (July 26) at 12.30am on Montgomery Street in the town.
Richard O’Donnell, whose address was given as Glasgow, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court yesterday (Wednesday).
Charged with rape, he made no plea or declaration in relation to the accusations.
He was released on bail and will return to court at a later date.
