A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 33-year-old Louise Aitchison.
Louise was found at her East Kilbride home on Park Terrace on Thursday afternoon, during the coronavirus lockdown.
Daryll Paterson, 35, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with murder.
He made no plea to the single charge against him, during the behind-closed-doors hearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
The case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further, and no future court dates have been set.
A second court hearing is expected to take place next week and a trial is expected to take place in 2021, due to delays to the justice system caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
