A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a man at a property in Wick.
The 50-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, where he died on Tuesday (June 16).
The incident happened in Barrogill Street in the Caithness town, at around 9.30pm on Saturday (June 13).
Bruce Rothwell was arrested and appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with the death on Thursday.
The 60-year-old, of Wick, made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to reappear within eight days.
