Detective Inspector Philip Dallyn said: “Given the time of day this incident occurred I’m sure there will be people who witnessed events leading up to and after the incident. I would urge them, along with any road users in the vicinity of Brynmorlais Street, the Castle Hotel or Wetherspoons on High Street, who may have dashcam footage between 8.25am and 10am this morning, to come forward and speak to us.

"At this early stage we believe the victims were attacked by the 52-year-old man, who was known to them, before he fled the scene in a white Vauxhall Astra. Enquiries into the full circumstances of the incident are continuing including house to house and CCTV enquiries.”
