A man and a woman were stabbed in a flat in Middleton.
The pair were assaulted at a property in Parkfield Flats around 9am on Monday morning.
The woman suffered a minor cut to her arm and the man a number of wounds to his head and body.
They were both taken to hospital. Police say neither suffered life-threatening injurIes.
Another man, 36, was arrested around an hour later on suspicion of assault.
He remains in police custody for questioning.

A police helicopter and an air ambulance were seen hovering above the flats at the time.
A cordon was then put in place around the building.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 9am on Monday 23 September 2019, police received a report that a man and a woman had been stabbed in a property in Parkfield Flats in Middleton.
"The woman sustained a minor cut to her arm and the man sustained a number of minor wounds to his head and body.
"Both were taken to hospital for treatment; however neither is believed to have suffered life threatening injuries.
"A 36-year-old man was arrested shortly after 10am on suspicion of section 18 assault. He remains in custody for questioning."
