Man and woman suspected of drug dealing after being searched

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in Merseyside.

Police have arrested a man and a woman after detectives, working on Project Medusa, searched them in Birkenhead yesterday, on June 8. The 27 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman, both from Liverpool, were taken into custody where they will be questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Criminal Property.

After the arrest, a search was also carried out a house in Kensington. A quantity of cash, suspected drugs and mobile phones were seized and taken away for forensic examination.

Sergeant Craig Evans said: "We know that drug dealing is a blight on our communities and we will relentlessly pursue those people responsible. I would continue to urge people to come forward if they have information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood. Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111."
