A man and woman suffered eye injuries after being sprayed with a corrosive substance in a "shocking and violent" attack.
Police were called to reports of an assault at a property on Cleveleys Avenue, Cleveleys, just before 7pm on Wednesday (January 26).
The victims were taken to hospital following the assault, which detectives believed was a "targeted attack", but described it as an "isolated incident".

The victims are still receiving treatment for their injuries.
Efforts are ongoing to identify the culprits, but police want to hear from anyone who may have seen two men in dark clothing who may have been in vehicles.
"Detectives are continuing with their investigation to identify the suspects and bring them to justice.
"I understand incidents such as this can be frightening for the community and want to reassure everyone that we are committed to keeping people safe.
"You will notice extra police patrols in the area and if you have any concerns, please approach them and speak with them.
"I believe this was a targeted attack and as such an isolated incident. I do not believe there is a threat to the wider public."
He added: "I appeal to the public to support us. Anybody who has CCTV, or doorbell footage, on Cleveleys Avenue or Stockdove Way, from around 7pm on Wednesday, is urged to get in touch.
"Likewise if anybody saw anything suspicious in the area, particularly two men in dark clothing who may have arrived in vehicles in the area, to please get in touch on 101 or by emailing forcecontrolroom@lancashire.police.uk quoting log 1232 of January 26.
