Man and woman stabbed in brawl outside Crossgates pub

Two people were left with stab wounds in a brawl outside a Crossgates pub.

West Yorkshire Police were called to the Travellers Rest at around 11.20pm yesterday (Friday) after reports of a fight involving a group of people.

A man in his 30s sustained a stab wound to his arm and a female victim had a minor stab wound to her leg. They were both taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect, however, fled from the area in a vehicle.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Police were called at around 11.20pm to the Traveller’s Rest, Cross Gates to a report of a fight between a group of people.

“A man in his 30s sustained a stab wound to his arm and was taken to hospital. A female also presented at the hospital with a minor stab wound to her leg.

“The suspect made off from the area in a vehicle.

“Enquiries remain ongoing by Leeds CID.”
