A man and woman have been left seriously injured after a double stabbing in Dublin.
The horrifying incident happened at a house in Darndale at around 7.30am this morning.
The two victims, aged in their 40s and 50s, both received stab wounds and were rushed to Beaumont Hospital.
The man's condition has been described as critical, with the woman receiving serious but non life-threatening injuries.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred at a house in the Darndale area of Dublin 17 on 13/06/2020 at approximately 7:30am.
"A man and a woman, aged in their 40s and 50s respectively, both received stab wounds. They have both been taken to Beaumont Hospital. The man’s condition is described as critical and the woman’s injuries are understood to be serious but non-life threatening.
"The scene is currently preserved for a Garda technical examination.
"A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Coolock Garda Station. Gardaí are not seeking any other persons in relation to this incident.
"Investigations are ongoing."
