Man and woman rushed to hospital after horror crash in Fife

Two people were rushed to hospital after a horror crash in Fife which left debris scattered across the road.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A911 at Milton of Balgonie, near Glenrothes, when the alarm was raised at around 11.15am on Sunday.

Two cars had collided with each other on the stretch of road leaving debris strewn across the roadway.

Police closed the road for almost two hours to carry out investigations and to allow both vehicles to be recovered.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road reopened at around 12.45pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic crash on the A911 at Milton of Balgonie around 11.15am on Sunday, 20 December, 2020.

“Emergency services attended and a man and woman were taken to hospital as a precaution. The road re-opened around 12.45pm."
