Man and woman rushed to hospital after early morning crash in Bearsden

Two people were rushed to hospital after a serious crash in Bearsden this morning.

Emergency services raced to the two vehicle collision on Drymen Road around 8.10am on Wednesday.

A 49-year-old man and 45-year-old woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.

The extent of their injuries are not yet known.

Locals in the area reported seeing one person being cut out of a vehicle following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.10am on Wednesday, 28 July, we received a report of a two vehicle crash on Drymen Road in Bearsden.

“Emergency services attended and two people, a 49-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.

“The road was blocked while uplift of the vehicles was arranged.”
