Gardai have arrested a man and woman in connection with the murder of a juvenile in Drogheda in January last year.
There has now been seven arrests in total as part of the investigation into the killing of the juvenile.
The man and woman were both arrested in Drogheda, Co. Louth today. The man is being held at Drogheda Garda Station while the woman is detained in Balbriggan.
A Garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai in Drogheda investigating the murder of a juvenile in January 2020 have arrested a man and a woman today.
"Both were arrested in Drogheda and are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. The man is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station, and the woman is detained at Balbriggan Garda Station.
"This brings to seven the number of arrests in this investigation to date."
