A man and woman in their 70s have been found dead inside a house with police launching an investigation
Officers attended the scene and found the bodies of a man and a woman inside the property in Pateley Bridge, North Yorks.
North Yorkshire Police said specially trained officers remain working at the scene, in order to establish the full circumstances of what took place.
A spokesman told the media: "Police were called to a property near Pateley Bridge shortly after 1.30pm on 30 December 2020, following a report from a concerned member of the public.
"Officers attended the scene at Blazefield and upon arrival sadly found the bodies of a man and a woman inside the property.
"Both the man and woman were aged in their seventies.
"Enquiries are being conducted and specially trained officers remain working at the scene, in order to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
