It's been confirmed that the two people found dead in different parts of Newport within hours of each other last month were husband and wife.
57-year-old Kerry Bradford was discovered at home on Monnow Way in Bettws on Sunday, April 25, where she lived with husband Nicholas Bradford.
Earlier the same day officers had been called to a car park three miles away following reports that a man had fallen.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his death was not treated as suspicious, although Gwent Police described the incidents as linked.
Gwent Coroner Service has confirmed it will be opening inquests into the deaths of Nicholas Bradford and Kerry Bradford next week (Tuesday, May 11).
A friend of the family told WalesOnline that the pair were married and lived together at the address in Bettws.
A previous statement from Gwent Police read, "57-year-old Kerry Bradford was found deceased at an address in Monnow Way at about 6.15pm on Sunday, April 25.
"The death is being treated as suspicious.
"We are not looking for anyone else in connection with her death, which is being linked to another death on Sunday afternoon.
"At around 4.40pm we also had a call reporting that a man had fallen from the Kingsway car park in Newport city centre. The man was confirmed dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
"We’d like to thank the local community for their continued support as officers carry out enquiries in the local area."
