Man and woman found dead in house with police saying deaths 'unexplained'

A man and woman have been found dead in a house in East Dunbartonshire with police describing both deaths as "unexplained".

A man, 25, and a 20-year-old woman were found dead inside a property in Station Road, Milngavie, at 11.30am on Sunday.

Police enquiries are ongoing, Police Scotland said.

A report has been submitted for preliminary investigations to begin.

Next of kin have been informed, though the identities of the two people have not been released publicly.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We received a report relating to the sudden deaths of two people - a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman - found within a property at Station Road in Milngavie around 11.30am on Sunday March 21.

"Both of their next of kin have been made aware.

"Their deaths are being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course."

Station Road runs off the town's main shopping strip.
