A man and woman have been found dead in a Glasgow hotel.
Emergency services were first called to the scene at the Alexander Thomson Hotel on Argyle Street at around 7.30am on Tuesday.
A 25-year-old was found to have died within the hotel however his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Just five minutes later, officers were alerted to a woman also becoming unwell within the same building.
She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Her death currently being treated as “unexplained” pending the outcome of a post mortem.
It is understood that the two deaths are not linked to each other.
Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a sudden death within a hotel on Argyle Street, Glasgow, around 7.30am on Tuesday, 28 July, 2020.
"A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not believed to be suspicious but enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
They added: “We received a report of concern for a person within a hotel on Argyle Street, Glasgow, around 7.35am on Tuesday, 28 July, 2020.
"Officers and the ambulance service attended and dealt with a 44-year-old woman who had taken unwell.
“She was later pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post mortem.
“Enquires are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
