Man ambushed by two robbers for '£40k watch' moment he opens door to home

Disturbing video has emerged of a man ambushed at home by two robbers who targeted him for his £40,000 watch.

The victim, wearing a blue dinner suit, is attacked the moment he unlocks his front door.

The man is pushed inside the house as he shouts for help before a second man barges in and wrestles with him.

He continues and yells: "What are you doing?

"What the f*** are you doing?! Get out!"

As he pushes them out of the house, one of the robbers can be seen trying to grab the victim's wrist.

After a struggle, one the robbers leaves the house, and is swiftly followed by the other as they run into the dead of night.

The video has been shared across social media and it has been claimed that the cab driver tipped off the attackers to a target.

The incident happened in the early hours of November 8 after the victim reportedly spent the evening at an upmarket London club.

Facebook user Russell Bumstead shared the footage last Monday, saying: "Seems as though the [cab] driver is in on it.

"It’s the third one with [the] same setup. Others happened in Hertfordshire and Stevenage.

"The [cab] driver collects ride from upmarket London night spot this time arts club.

"Checks out the customer in terms of obvious signs of wealth (40k watch) and how p***ed  they are, then messages the gang to give them address he’s heading to.

"When he pulled up at [victim's], he put his hazards on which is the sign for the robbers to strike.

"The driver had been texting loads on the journey too. Clearly the [cab] driver [is] probably part of gang and has got the job as a [cab] driver under false identity.

"Warning really to all of us going forward."

It's unclear where the incident took place and which cab-riding service the victim used.
