Man allegedly threatened with gun and slash hook in north Dublin

Frightening scenes of violence spilled onto the streets of north Dublin once again over the weekend as one man allegedly threatened another with a gun and a slash hook.

Footage obtained by Dublin Live shows the person running after his victim while making ferocious swiping motions with what appears to be a weapon in his hand.

It is understood that one of the men had a slash hook in his possession as well as a weapon believed to be a type of gun.

Despite several people appearing to be involved in the video, the main battle is between two men who are dressed in all black.

One of them appears to trip the other on the footpath, who is armed with the weapon.

The action then continues onto the road where the armed man can be seen swiping the weapon in the direction of the target who manages to duck and avoid contact.

In the background, another man is seen throwing what looks like a table in the direction of another person but misses and ends up smacking a wall.

The camera then pans back to the two main men of the video where the armed man can be seen trying to take another swipe at his opponent before threatening “I swear to God I’m going to shoot you”.

After the verbal threat, the attacker then turns and walks away but he’s followed by opposition members who ask “what was that all about?”

Dublin Live has contacted Gardai for further comment on the matter.
