Man allegedly filmed women without consent

A man has been charged for allegedly filming women without their consent on the Central Coast.

Police said on Tuesday that officers from Brisbane Water Police District received a complaint from a woman on May 17 who alleged a man had filmed an intimate act without her consent.

Police searched a home on The Round Drive at Avoca Beach three days after the complaint was made.

Officers seized two mobile phones during the search and they were forensically examined.

Investigators arrested the 44-year-old man at the address on June 8 and he was charged with five counts of filming a person in a private act without consent, two counts of intentionally distributing an intimate image without consent and one count of acting intending to pervert the course of justice.

The man was refused bail and faced Gosford Local Court on June 15, where he was given conditional bail to reappear at the same court on July 9.

Police said in a statement on Tuesday their investigations were ongoing.
