
A man, 51, has been charged after he was allegedly recorded travelling at 163km/h in an 80 zone with a mid-range blood-alcohol reading at Bobs Farm.
Police pulled over the man's vehicle on Nelson Bay Road about 4.15pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he allegedly recorded a blood-alcohol reading more than three times the legal limit.
His licence was immediately suspended and he was charged with driving at a speed dangerous to the public, exceed speed by more than 45km/h, and drive with a mid-range PCA.
He will appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court on July 6.
