A man has been flown to the John Hunter Hospital after he was bitten by what he believed to be a Death Adder snake at Seal Rocks on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to Thomas Road about 11.30am after the man aged in his 50s walked for 20 minutes to Treachery Camp Ground to call for help due to the lack of phone service in the area of bushland he was walking in.
A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW said the man reported feeling nauseous, dizzy and hot.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team.
The man was stabilised by the critical care team prior to being flown to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
