Man airlifted to hospital in life-threatening condition after horror crash on A4212 near Bala

A man has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries following a crash near Bala in Gwynedd on Sunday.

The single vehicle collision happened on the A4212 in Arenig shortly before 12.20pm, and involved a "distinctive" burnt orange-coloured Jaguar F-Pace.

The driver of the Jaguar, a man aged in his 50s, has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke. North Wales Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the car in the area on Sunday to get in touch with them.

Sergeant Jason Diamond of the roads policing unit said: “We believe the Jaguar may have overtaken a few vehicles prior to the collision so we are appealing for the drivers and passengers of those vehicles, or indeed any other witnesses, to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to anybody who may have seen the car, which is quite distinctive in colour, travelling in the area prior to the collision, or anybody who may have dash cam footage, to contact us as soon as possible in order to assist with our investigation.

“The road remains closed and I’d like to thank the local community and motoring public for their patience.”

Any witnesses can contact police via live web chat here or by calling 101 quoting incident number B000734.
