
A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a report of a stabbing incident in Oldham.
Police were called to Oxford Street at about 5.10pm today (Tuesday) following the incident.
Greater Manchester Police say a man, aged 52, was 'located' by police and arrested on suspicion of assault.
He remains in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 5.10pm today (19 October) to a report of a stabbing on Oxford Street in Oldham.
"Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"A man, aged 52, was later located by police and arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing."
