Man airlifted to hospital after taking unwell on Scots estate

A man has been airlifted to hospital after taking unwell on a Scots estate.

The man fell ill on Letham Grange estate, near Arbroath in Angus on Wednesday morning.

The alarm was raised just before 10am.

Scottish Ambulance Service and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance crews attended to the man, believed to be in his fifties.

He was soon airlifted to Ninewells Hospital Dundee for treatment.

His current condition is yet to be confirmed.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson told the Record: “We received a call today at 9.57am to attend an incident in Arbroath.

"An ambulance and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) was dispatched to the scene.

"SCAA airlifted one male patient in their fifties to Ninewells Hospital.”
