Man airlifted to hospital after quad bike crash in Dumbartonshire woodlands

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a quad bike crash in Dumbartonshire woodlands this morning.

Emergency services raced to the incident in Dumbarton Moor, near Beechwood Drive in Alexandria, around 8.30am on Thursday.

A man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known as enquiries into the crash remain ongoing.

The health and safely executive have also been contacted.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 8.30am on Thursday, August 26 following a crash involving a quad bike in Dumbarton Moor.

"A man has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing and the health and safety executive have been contacted.”
