A walker was airlifted to hospital after plunging 40 feet from a remote Scots mountain.
The daring rescue took place on the steep slopes of Ben Vorlich after a man had fallen down a rugged "boulder field".
The alarm was raised with the emergency services and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance was first on the scene.
Paramedics were forced to scale the mountain to reach the casualty after the helicopter landed nearby.
A coastguard helicopter also raced to the mountain from Prestwick and rushed the man to hospital.
Pictures from the rescue show the helicopters hovering above the remote location surrounded by hills.
The extent of the man's injuries are currently unknown.
In a statement, Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance said: "SCAA was first on the scene when a walker fell 40 feet down a boulder field at #BenVorlich.
"Our air ambulance helicopter landed on flat ground below the incident and SCAA paramedics then climbed the hill to reach and care for the patient.
"A Coastguard helicopter was then called in from Prestwick to winch the injured man from the challenging hillside location and transfer him to hospital."
It came after the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team was also called to Ben Vorlich over the weekend to assist a woman with suspected broken leg.
