Man airlifted to hospital after incident at Pitlochry Golf Club

A man has been airlifted to hospital after an incident at Pitlochry Golf Club.

Six fire appliances and an air ambulance were sent to the scene shortly after 8am to help the man, who had got into difficulty down an embankment.

The Scottish Ambulance Service also sent its trauma team to the scene.

The male was removed from the scene by firefighters before the air ambulance took him to Ninewells.

His condition is not known at this time.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.18am on Thursday, June 25 to an incident at Pitlochry Golf Course, Perthshire.

“Operations Control mobilised five appliances and a heavy rescue unit to assist a person in difficulty in an embankment.

“Firefighters worked to bring the person to safety and the casualty was handed into the care of paramedics.

“Crews left after making the area safe.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call today at 8.08am hours to attend an incident in Pitlochry.

“We dispatched one ambulance, an air ambulance, our trauma team and special operations team to the scene.

“We airlifted one male patient to Ninewells.”
