A man is in a critical condition after being found in a wooded area in Co Longford.
The man was rushed to hospital by helicopter on Thursday after receiving serious injuries during an "incident" in the Kenagh area.
Gardai say the man is now in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
A garda spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "On Thursday 4th June 2020, a man was discovered with serious injuries at Kenagh, County Longford.
"The man was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition."
A source said gardai are looking into all avenues but early investigations indicate this may have been a "tragic incident".
