Man aged in his 30s found dead at property in Salford

A man was found dead at a property in Salford.

Police were called to reports of a sudden death on Blackfriars Road just before 10am on Saturday (January 9).

Witnesses described seeing a heavy emergency service presence in the area.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, a spokesman for GMP said.

A coroner's report is currently being prepared for an inquest.

A spokesman for the force said: “Just before 10am on Saturday 9 January 2021, officers were called to a report of a sudden death on Blackfriars Road in Salford.

“Sadly, a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
