A Stonehouse man has admitted pushing a woman down a flight of stairs.
Nathan Sommerville, of Marleyhill Avenue, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week following the incident that happened at a house in Copperfield Lane, Uddingston, on March 20.
He admitted shoving Nicole Sommerville, causing her to fall down stairs, punching her repeatedly, striking her head against a worktop and pulling her to the floor.
Sommerville, 20, also admitted shouting some abuse.
He will return to court next month after being assessed for the structured deferred sentence programme which involves close supervision of offenders.
