Man admits woman's DV-murder in Bourke

A man has admitted stabbing a woman to death in a domestic violence-related attack in NSW's far west.

Kenneth James Knight appeared via videolink in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday when he confirmed his guilty plea previously entered in the Local Court.

He pleaded guilty to murdering Cassandra Brown, 47, in Bourke on March 13, 2021.

Then aged 50, Knight was charged with domestic violence-related murder and contravening an apprehended violence order.

Justice Helen Wilson convicted him of murder and listed his sentence hearing for March 30 in Bourke.
