A man has admitted assaulting police officers by spitting blood at them while he shouted about coronavirus.
Samuel Konneh, 38, pleaded guilty to five offences when he appeared at Manchester Crown Court via video link from Forest Bank prison this morning.
Konneh admitted four offences of assaulting an emergency worker, after police were called to an address on Yew Tree Road in Withington on March 26.
He also admitted one count of stalking.
As they were responding to the incident, a spray of blood and spit from Konneh went into the mouth of one policeman.

Another was also hit in the face as four officers went to arrest him.
The case was adjourned until June 29, when Konneh will be sentenced.
Judge Anthony Cross QC ordered a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report to be prepared for that hearing.
Judge Cross told Konneh: "You will be sentenced, I hope, on June 29.
"By that stage, there should be a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report to assist the judge.
"All sentencing options are open to the sentencing judge."
At an earlier hearing, a court heard Konneh, of Easthorpe Close, Withington, was arrested days after the UK went into lockdown.
He had been stalking a woman who rebuffed his attentions and police were called to an address on Yew Tree Road, Withington, south Manchester.
As police broke down a door it hit Konneh, stood behind it, in the mouth causing him to bleed.
He then popped his head through the gap and spat at the officers.
During the incident Konneh was shouting about the coronavirus, the court heard.
Konneh was remanded in custody.
