A Wigan man has admitted possessing terrorist documents including instructional videos on 'how to construct a suicide vest'.
Liam Fenn, 21, appeared before Manchester Crown Court to plead guilty to nine offences.
He admitted eight offences which involved possessing a document 'likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism'.
Fenn also admitted publishing a statement 'intending or being reckless that members of the public would be directly or indirectly encouraged...to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism'.
The statement was entitled 'EXPOSED The True Path of ISIS'.
Publications which Fenn admitted possessing included the 'Lone Mujahid Pocketbook - Lone Wolf', as well as different issues of Rumiyah, an online propaganda magazine used by Islamic State.
He also admitted having a publication called 'Close Combat', and 'three instructional videos on how to construct a suicide vest'.
Fenn had been charged with a further three offences, but prosecuting barrister Alex Leach said his pleas were acceptable to the crown.
No further details about the case were outlined in court.
The case was adjourned, with sentencing expected to take place in September.
Judge Patrick Field QC told Fenn: "You have now pleaded guilty to a number of serious matters.
"As you are aware, the sentencing in respect of this is likely to be a custodial one.
"It is not a question, however, that I can conclude today, and I don't propose to sentence you today."
Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North West executed a warrant at Fenn's home in Wigan at about 8am on Tuesday, March 24, the day after the UK's lockdown was imposed.
Fenn originally appeared at court in London, before the case was transferred to Manchester.
