Man admits causing serious injury by dangerous driving

A man pleaded guilty to causing serious injury to a woman by dangerous driving.

Jake Bostock, 29, of Beechdale Road, Beechdale, entered his plea at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, June 8.

The incident happened in Thornton Mews, Bingham, on November 2 last year.

He pleaded not guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm to the same woman on the same date.

Balraj Bhatia, mitigating, said the second charge can be dealt with by the Crown offering no evidence and a not guilty verdict on the date of sentencing.

He said Bostock is 29, of previous good character, and "the background to this offending was totally out of character".

No further details were given about the charge Bostock admitted before Recorder O'Connor QC.

The judge listed the case for sentencing on July 23 and said a pre-sentence report would be obtained in the meantime,

Conditional bail was extended until that date.
