A 24-year-old man is on trial in the District Court in Perth accused of drugging a woman, then breaking into her home and raping her.
The court was told Lee Marich met the alleged victim in March last year and invited her to a party he was attending.
The prosecution alleges the woman consumed cannabis and alcohol before Marich spiked her drink with a stupefying drug.
The court heard the defendant then followed the woman home and only left her house after she threatened to call the police.
The prosecution alleges Marich had earlier stolen the woman's keys and used them to re-enter her home and sexually assault her while she was under the effects of the drug.
The defence admits Mr Marich stole her keys and her car but says they had consensual sex.
