A man accused of stabbing his sister to death allegedly attacked his other sister with a knife four days earlier, a jury heard yesterday.
Jordan Johnstone and co-accused Angela Newlands, 28, argued with Nadia
Johnstone outside a flat in Coatbridge before she was attacked, the High Court at Livingston was told.
Johnstone, 25, and Newlands deny murdering Annalise Johnstone at a witch’s monument near Auchterarder, Perthshire, on May 10 last year. They also deny assaulting Nadia in Coatbridge on May 6, 2018.

Witness Craig Corrigan, 34, told the court Nadia – also known as shabbana – had been staying at his flat before the alleged incident.
He said Johnstone phoned Nadia from the car park outside his flat, asking for keys to a flat she had in Stevenston, Ayrshire.
When Nadia refused, he said Johnstone “threatened to kill her and set her house on fire”, adding: “Jordan took a swipe at Shabbana – a punch to the face.”

Craig denied Johnstone had just slapped his sister, saying: “It wasn’t a slap. I know what a slap is and I know what a punch is.”
The trial continues.
