Man accused of biting newborn baby and hitting her with a fork in Glasgow house

A man is accused of assaulting a new born baby girl by biting her on the head and striking her with a fork.

Goman Dodili, 24, allegedly assaulted the tot at a property in Glasgow’s Kelvinhaugh from her date of birth in January 2020 until March.

Prosecutors claim Dodili pinched the baby on the body and bit her on the head.

Other allegations include Dodili pressing and squeezing her body as well as seizing and shaking her.

The charge also states Dodili pulled her and threatened to harm her.

It is then claimed he struck her head and body with his hand.

The charge lastly states Dodili struck the baby’s body with a fork and held her upside down all to her injury.

Dodili faces a second charge of assaulting a womann between March 22 2015 and March 22 2020.

Allegations include kicking her on the body and striking her on the arm with a pair of scissors.

Dodili, who appeared from custody, pled not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the charges.

A trial was set for April by Sheriff Joseph Fleming who continued Dodili’s remand in custody meantime.
