The black BMW left the road and crashed into a group of pedestrians before hitting a pole.

A man charged over a crash that injured four women in Adelaide's CBD at the weekend has been remanded in custody until February.

The crash happened at the intersection of Pulteney and Rundle streets in the city's East End just after 4:00pm on Saturday.

A black BMW sedan left the road and crashed into a group of pedestrians before smashing into a pole.

Carlos George Bechara, 40, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and arrested there by police.

He is charged with two counts of causing serious harm by dangerous driving.

Mr Bechara did not apply for bail during a bedside hearing this afternoon and will appear in court again on February 20.

A 67-year-old woman remains in a serious condition in the Royal Adelaide Hospital, while a 32-year-old woman from the north-west suburbs is in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old North Adelaide woman and a 67-year-old eastern suburbs woman have since been discharged from the Flinders Medical Centre.
