A Christmas-lover got more than he bargained after purchasing an inflatable Santa which turned out to be as tall as his house.
Dave Milward of Kingshurst, West Midlands the size he thought it was - turning his home into something of a tourist attraction.
The enormous Santa towers over pedestrians and has the local children, and some of the adults, rather excited, report Birmingham Live.
Dave said: “It’s been really well received, which is lovely because Christmas is this great time of year and it’s just nice to do something for the guys that drive past.
“It’s been brilliant.”
Though happy with the huge decoration, Dave admits it wasn't intentional.
When he had ordered the sizeable Santa he thought it was 10ft high and was taken aback when he received it and realised the truth.
“It was a little bit bigger than what we expected it to be,” he said.
“When we unboxed it and inflated him we realised he was going to take a bit of anchoring down.”
"A bit of a spectacle"
As you might expect, the rest of the house is also decked out, with Christmas lights displaying the message “season’s greetings”, though none of the other decorations are industrial sized like Dave's colossal Kris Kringle.
The substantial St Nick is so unusual, motorists have been pulling over to take snaps and kids have been coming with parents to see it.
Dave added: “It’s created a bit of a spectacle and the kids that have come past have loved him.
“It’s a little bit strange that people stop in the street. It’s almost like you know these people but actually you haven’t got a clue who they are.
“It’s lovely that people want to get involved."
