Missing Romeoville man found in Michigan

A man who went missing Tuesday from southwest suburban Romeoville was found about 200 miles away in Michigan.

Mariano Tello, 79, was last seen leaving his home about 12:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Murphy Drive in Romeoville, according to a missing person alert from Romeoville police. He was believed to be headed to the 300 block of South Larkin Avenue in Joliet.

Police canceled the alert Thursday morning, stating that Tello had been located.

The village of Romeoville wrote in a Facebook post that Tello was found in Muskegon County, Michigan. Authorities notified his family, who made arrangements to get him home safely.
