Man, 77, missing from home without his phone or medication

Police have issued an appeal for help to find a missing 77-year-old man.

Michael Maranta was last seen on Adswood Road West in Stockport at around 6.30am today (April 26). He does not have his mobile phone or his medication with him, police said.

He is described as being 5ft 10in tall with grey, medium-length hair. He was last seen wearing black trousers and a black jacket.

Michael was also carrying a floral shopping bag, a black bin bag and a white carrier bag at the time he went missing, police added. Officers shared an appeal on social media and said they 'want to make sure he is safe and well'.

Anyone with information about Michael’s whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 9721. Information can also be reported online or by using the LiveChat function at www.gmp.police.uk.
