A pensioner was punched in the face and during a terrifying late night robbery at the Royal Welsh Show.
The 76-year-old man was leaving the toilets near at campsite when the attack happened, police said.
He was found in a hedgerow the next day before being taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The robbery took place on Tuesday.
"Between 11pm and midnight, an elderly man used the toilets of the campsite at Lower North 12, near entrance F, located at the far end of the showground near the cattle sheds.
"On leaving the toilets, he reports being punched to the face and having items stolen."
The victim - who has been named locally as shepherd Islwyn Jones - suffered arm, back and facial injuries. Police said injuries were minor, but the victim was shaken up by the attack.
The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) has said that it is helping police with their investigation into the incident at the event, which was held last week in Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells .
A RWAS spokesman said: “The RWAS continue to support the police in their investigation into the allegation of assault on a 76-year-old male.

“We are offering support including CCTV and will continue to liaise with those who have conduct of these matters. Our effective initial response led to the quick recovery of the man and we maintain that level of focus behind the scenes.
Police are continuing to investigate, and would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything from 11pm on Tuesday, July 23 to the early hours of Wednesday, July 24.
A spokeswoman added: "As a point of reference to anyone who was at the show, it was the night of the thunderstorm."
