Man, 70, pushed to floor and wallet stolen during Kimberley robbery

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a report that a 70-year-old man was pushed to the floor and had his wallet snatched from his hand.

The incident is said to have taken place near the Maws Lane Co-op in Kimberley, either in Maws Lane or Cornfield Road, at around 9.30am on Saturday, May 30.

The man is said to have walked off before returning and throwing the wallet back at the victim, with his Co-Op card and a small amount of cash removed.

Sergeant Ned Kelly, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.

"It is believed there would have been a number of people in the area at the time so I would urge anyone who has not yet come forward to please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 217 of 30 May 2020."
