Man, 70, missing from Hyde Park

A 70-year-old man was reported missing Monday from Hyde Park on the South Side.

Brian Weaver was last seen about 3 p.m. near the 5200 block of South Drexel Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago police. He was designated as a high-risk missing person.

Weaver was described as 5-foot-10, 145-pound African American man with brown eyes, white or gray hair and a medium brown complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, a black shirt with red and yellow horizontal stripes, black pants and black gym shoes.

Weaver has been known to frequent the area around 53rd Street and Dorchester Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information about Weaver’s whereabouts is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
