A 68-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman have died following a collision in Northumberland.
Police received a report at about 3.35pm on Friday June 25, of a collision between a motorcycle and a Mitsubishi opposite the New Kennels in Simonburn in Northumberland.
Emergency services arrived at the scene where they found that a 68-year-old man, the driver of the motorcycle, and a 72-year-old woman, who was a passenger riding in a side car, had sustained serious injuries.

Both were treated by paramedics but were pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Specialists officers are supporting the family of the 68-year-old man and 72-year-old woman, who have tragically lost their lives in this incident.
"The driver of the Mitsubishi was uninjured but was understandably very shaken by the incident.
"An investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances around the collision and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
"It has taken place opposite the New Kennels in Simonburn, in South West Northumberland, and officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the vehicles involved – during or prior to the collision.
"Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who thinks they could assist police, is asked to contact us quoting reference number 675 25/06/21."
