Man, 64, slashed during vicious assault inside Glasgow pub

A man was slashed during an assault inside a Glasgow pub.

The punter was attacked by two men inside Parkway Bar on Paisley Road West, at around 9pm on Friday, September 6.

The 64-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for facial injuries and deep cuts.

He remains in a stable condition.

Police Scotland are now appealing for information on two suspects allegedly involved in the incident.

The first has been described as being around 6ft and of stocky build with dark brown short hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans, white trainers and carrying a rucksack at the time of the incident.

The other has been described as being in his late 30s and bald. He was wearing a black t-shirt, grey jogging trousers and grey trainers.

Detective Constable Mark Henry of Govan Police Station, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident, and we are following a number of lines of enquiry.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this attack take place, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 4040 of 6th September. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
