A man died after crashing into a telegraph pole, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Forest Road, Skegby, at 7.10am on September 13 following a report a car crashed into a telegraph pole.

The driver, aged 64, was taken to the King's Mill Hospital, in Sutton-in-Ashfield, but died at the weekend.

Detective Sergeant Adam Cooper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The circumstances of the collision are not suspicious and we have completed our investigation.

"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time."
