Man, 63, missing as police grow increasingly concerned for his safety

Police have become increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man from Southport.

Bernard Hunter, 63, went missing yesterday morning (October 12) and hasn't been seen since.

He was last seen on Cypress Road, Southport around 9.40am.

The 63-year-old is described as 5ft 7in tall with short grey hair and of a large build.

He was last seen wearing a black raincoat, black t-shirt, light jeans and walking boots.

Skelmersdale Police said he is believed to have links to Southport, Bootle, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

A spokesperson for the force posting on Facebook said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 63-year-old Bernard Hunter, who is missing from the Southport area.

"He was last seen on Cypress Road, Southport at around 09:40AM on 12/10/21.

"Bernard is described as 5ft 7in tall, with short grey hair and of a large build. When he was last seen he was wearing a black coloured raincoat, black t-shirt, light jeans, and walking boots.

"He is believed to have links to Southport, Bootle, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough.
