A man has died after a horror smash near Alness yesterday morning.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene on the Alness bypass at around 8.10am.
The 63-year-old man who was driving a Fiat Bravo died after colliding with an HGV at the junction for Milnafua.

The driver of the HGV received treatment for non-serious injuries at the scene.
The road remains closed due to an ongoing investigation into the collision and a diversion is in place via Invergordon.
Road Policing Sergeant Alasdair Mackay said: "Our thoughts at this time are with the man's family and friends.
"Our investigation into the collision is ongoing and at an early stage.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or could have dashcam footage to come forward as soon as possible.
